Each year, the President and Congress designate a week in May as Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) in honor of the men and women who serve America as federal, state, county, and local government employees.
Our Agency proudly represents PSRW as one of the 74 federal agencies to sign this year’s Public Service Recognition Week co-chair letter! PSRW23_CoChairLetter
“I am proud of the progress SSS has made through your collective work over the past year to fulfill our mission and deliver superior customer service to the public in so many ways, whether it is through our operations at the Data Management Center; our interagency collaborations for the 50th anniversary of the All-Volunteer Force and external affairs programs; our planning and coordination efforts to boost our readiness; our IT customer service, security, and modernization programs; our HR support and transformation; our assistance to State Directors, RSMs, and Board Members that occurs in our Regions and at NHQ; our financial/budget management and contracting efforts; our logistics support; our administrative, legal, and policy efforts; and so many more. The work everyone does at SSS is critical to us meeting our mission and achieving the SSS Strategic Vision. Your efforts make us successful in all that we do!”
– Joel C. Spangenberg, SSS Acting Director
We hope you will join the Selective Service System in celebrating our civilian and military public servants!
