Selective Service Attends the 51st Annual National Federation of High Schools’ Athletic Directors’ Virtual Conference

Selective Service Attends the 51st Annual National Federation of High Schools’ Athletic Directors’ Virtual Conference

The National Federation of High Schools’ (NFHS) National Athletic Directors Conference was held virtually from December 7-14, 2020. The conference is designed to provide networking opportunities, professional development, and resources for coaches and athletic directors around the country.

Participants were able to watch keynotes from high profile speakers like former NFL player and coach and current play-by-play analyst Tony Dungy as well as attend virtual training sessions and seminars alongside a virtual exhibit hall filled with booths from various organizations such as the Selective Service System. SSS Associate Director of Public and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr. Micheal Migliara, addressed the audience during the closing session, emphasizing our gratitude for our relationship with NFHS and our shared goals of making “champions on the field and in life.”

These coaches and athletic directors are great resources for their communities and particularly the young men on the teams they advise. Those are the very same young men that we are looking to register and add to our team of men driven by service and desire to be “team players.”

During the exhibit hall portion of the event, SSS staff members were on hand to answer chat questions from attendees and fielded messages during their time at the booth, which also contained clickable links to our downloadable resources like posters and brochures.

We look forward to reaching out to attendees in the coming weeks with further information about how they can help us grow our team. We, as the Selective Service, take pride in our relationships with these coaches, athletic directors, and the National Federation of High Schools and were delighted to be a small part of the highly successful event and we are excited to continue our relationship with the NFHS.
